This time it was just one coat of Z-2 followed by a mist of Z-6.

Zaino kicks ass!!!!

You mean a mist of Z6? Z5 is scratch/swirl remover... you should always end with Z2 if you're putting on layers.

Wow, you can really see the orange peel in the paint, and with a SOM car it truely is "orange peel" :jest:.

I wish I had enough room in my garage to do that. I have to pull mine out in the driveway and direct sunlight every time I put Zaino on.

Ya that color is awesome. I remember when you brought that car over to the shop. Absolutely striking in the sun.

Looking good.

How do you recommend a guy start the zaino process on a vehicle that has been parked outside and never towelled off? How do you get the first waterspots off and ready for the zaino treatment?

Wash it with Dawn dishwashing soap (gets all the old wax and oil off of the car), then use a clay bar to get the water spots and other debris off. Then you Z-1, Z-2 etc. etc...

I'm going to Clay bar my car today to get the water spots off...fun, fun ;)

^^ What she said. Stock up on clay bars, they get dirty quick if your car is so beaten up by the elements. Always keep turning the bar over, molding etc and if you drop it, toss it.

Set aside 1 full day for that. Being in a hurry doesn't go well with Zaino. :)

And thanks guys for the compliments! It's quiete a bit of work but I'm happy with the results.
