Default QUESTION! Y-pipe crossmember

Y-pipe is installed but i have a question about that black piece that was bolted under the y-pipe and the rest of the catback merges. AFter we put the y-pipe on the crossmember wont fit. Is it mandatory for that to fit? or can we go without it. Is there an aftermarket one with more clearance or something? Thanks...

No need to keep it on the car. They really don't do anything. If you really want to put it back on the car you can just bend it up with you hands since it's so weak. Or if you want to throw some money away BMR makes one for like $90.

Lakewood driveshaft loop is a useful replacement
and gives reasonable room to tuck up the I-pipe.
