From my experiences with the LS1 underdrive pulley you should see a 10-12 HP increase, when you put add an overdrive alt pulley you should generally sacrafice about 2 hp.

Thank you

Like said above, 10-12hp is normal from underdrive crank pulley. The only reason you'd need an alternator overdrive pulley is if you have charging issues after the crank pulley install. Being an m6 car, I don't see you having a problem since the manual cars idle faster than an auto. I just have the crank pulley and I don't have any charging issues idling in gear @ 700rpm.

I agree, I am not knocking the pulley, but there are tons of other things to spend 300 on than that. like headers, cam, heads, real mods.

The pulley is a good mod, and they do not cost $300, even with belts. People most usually wait to put a cam in to do it though, since it has to come off anyway. The overdrive alternator pulley is only needed if you have some damn Baja headlights on your camaro, or a huge stereo with another amp or something. 99% of people get by with just the pulley.

Nods, the car is being worked on by Jeff @ CAM, and he called to let me know the alt pulley was missing

Thus I was wondering what would happen If anything

Thanks for the input

Yea I do have a pretty big aftermarket stereo on the car. I guess I'll have to drive it around for a week to see what happens

What about using an underdrive alt pulley with an underdrive crank pulley? Too much underdrive?

Funny. I don't have Baja headlights, only a Racetronix fuel pump and 42lb injectors. I'm having horrible problems now, especially since it got colder. In 70°F weather though, just 25% U/D pulley seemed ok. This is with an A4 where no idle speeds or anything else changed. Night/Day, head lights on/off, doesn't matter. Stereo? Barely use it, but it's a stock 10 speaker Monsoon. Heat? I wear a coat, so it's always low. My alternator was always fine before this so I won't buy being told that it's all of the sudden going bad. I guess I'm one of the 1% that got shafted by this stupid 10 HP mod.
