Default How do I know what gears I have now?

I have a 2000 Camaro SS convert. As far as I know, the gears are stock. But the car was originally made as a Nascar parade car, and the gears seem pretty tall.

Thanks,

Will

look on your rpo code sticker that is on the drivers door. gu3 is 2.73, gu5 is 3.23, 6 speeds are 3.42
(im pretty sure those are the correct rpo codes)

Thank you. That was easy enough. I've got 3.23's. I guess 2.73's can't be the reason I am so slow!

Thunderstruck not quite right!

2.73 is GU2
3.08 is GU4
3.23 is GU5
3.42 is GU6

Don't know why there is no GU3!
