Default Question about tape on Fuel lines?

This may be the wrong forum, but I placed this in fueling and injection and got very few responces. Plus I think this falls under both.

Is it safe to remove the foil tape from the fuel lines pictured below? I've seen some cars with it and some without. It looks like crap and I would like to do something with it. Thanks in advance.

I took that stuff off when I relocated the EVAP system. No problems here.

I started to, but it was sticky and different color than the rest of the line so I stopped.

Go ahead and remove it. The FRCs will act as more than enough heat shield.
Take some "Goof Off" and remove the tape residue.

The picture is not of my car( I wish), and I don't have the FRCs in yet.

I took that tape off for the FRCs but I also have a whole layer of the same heat shield tape on the underside of them. If I get headers in the car at some point, I'll take them off and add another layer. But that's more to protect the painted plastic because I've heard of some getting distorted from header heat.

Yea, I recognized the FRCs, I did them about 2-3 years ago. And the heat shielding tape on the bottom of the FRCs are the best thing you can do to protect them especially from header heat. I recommend a tape called CoolTape.
