Finally got off my *** and bought one of the last pieces to my 98SS build. A Stroud parachute. Bob at JJ's helped ensure that I got the correct one. It's non-spring nor CO2. The pilot chute is spring loaded - as Joey found out . I personally think it looks great. It's non-removal for a street time. Oh well.

Final prep for first time firing is almost complete. The wait is killing me First weekend of racing is this weekend. Oh well.

Hey dave..... they could cut the chute mount and use a Huge cotter Pin so that way the chute doesnt have to be on there all the time......... just a thought.....

Kyle.. thanks. We did think of making it removable but decided (like you said) will not see much street time, and thought it would be "OK" to drive it on the street with a parachute and wheelie bars, slicks and skinnies .

Easily unbolted - 4 big *** bolts. They've been off a lot of time, but will not be taken off until I know for sure that it will not do a bumper drag again.

That our goal also, but it doesn't take much to put my SS on the bumper. It was only a 10 second car last year, even at the end of the year it wanted to put it up every time we used nitrous. We'll see this year. Hopefully we get the suspension tuned (we'll be putting limiters on this year to help).

New goal is this coming weekend - at latest the following weekend. With this major of a build sometimes **** happens. Well this weekend was the cam sensor decided not to work. New one will be here on Tuesday. Should be fired up than.
