Default For you wanna be Textralia owners...

Just installed mine today and took it out for a spin. This is the first clutch I've owned with no chatter. I'm stoked. Kinda weird with the soft clutch fell I just gotta get used to it. My last 2 clutches in as many years was a Spec 3 (12k..11mo. no passes worn out). My other clutch was a Ram Powergrip (11k..... 10 mo. about 7 passes in the 12's. blew the dampner spring right out.

Anyones clutch got a little play in the first inch or so of travel? All my clutches did this and I'm thinking its normal with my car or slave I have.

Nice, makes me want to install the one that is sitting in my room . As for the free play, it might just be air in your hydrolic system. A good bleeding should get rid of it.

Love my TEXtralia as well. But I get a little chatter if I baby it too much from a stop. Worth the extra effort though.

The way I see it there's nothing else out there and I'm tired of changing clutches every 11 months. Not only is it not chattering but I just realized a trans problem I thought I had with the shifter rattling loud in high gear at low rpms is also gone. Lovin it and even if it lasts just as long as the other 2 I'm glad to do without the chatter and rattle.

I have no clue on that one. But I heard their customer service was awesome. My friend thought he had a problem with his after a few months and called them and they were gonna replace the whole thing.

I was going with one but seen the pics of the one on the board and it didn't look good at all and that guy said was his third one. Up till then tex was my first choice.
Now thinking try the ls7 and see how that does and mabye they will have like an ls8 or something in few years as power goes up on the vettes.

I would like to see some tex taking apart after a full season of hard use. I am a bit skeptical right now with aftermarket clutches.

i agree....some people that have manuals just straight up dont know how to properly drive a high performance clutch.....no offence to anyone on here...Just like all brand name clutches act different...personal way of driving plays a big part on how the parts last....just like when i drove a viper they said when u stop to put in neutral and let off the clutch..other wise u'll burn it....so my belief is personal ways of drivin in the durability of a clutch also...

I bring it up as its alot of money for a clutch.
I have seen most people lately seem satisfied with it. I did a poll to see how many liked it. Not everyone did but a majority seemed to.
I want what most guys want from a clutch. I would like fairly light pedal pressure,
ability to take some good power and abuse and reasonable price.
My cartech seems to fit a few of those things but pedal pressure is a bit high for me when stuck in traffic. So looking for something else possibly.

What is textralia warranty? Anyone else have pics of them after some decent hard use over 500rwhp?
As you can see in my sig running twin turbos and likely most of the time have 500 rwhp plus with odd times quite a bit past that but next to zero track use.

the TEXtrilla is tested only up to about 720 rwhp isnt it? so if u plan on runnin more than 720 or so with the twin setup...then prolly not a good idea....but anything under that from my understanding would be ideal...

Young, Do you kno if textralia's have the new braided line for the master yet? Or if they're even still planning on putting that on the Fbod clutches. I'm gonna be gettin one in the next month or so probably and just wondered about that line.

The clutch is rated at 700 ft lb, not hp.

Carbon/Carbon only works when it's very hot. The new Exceedy 3 plate is an absolute JOKE at the drag strip! NO GOOOD!
