If you haven't hit up www.ls1sounds.com look for a dynomouth exhaust clips (basically what a Rumbler is)
I've got LTs (pacesetters) and a Rumbler (stock heads and cam) I'll tel you it's going to be fairly loud, especially above 2500 rpms, idle isn't bad (neighbors haven't bitched yet), but floor it, and WOW.
You'll know you've got a set of pipes under there, but it's not stupid loud, cruising in 6th it sounds pretty good IMO

how does the edelbrock victor jr lt's/ypipe with a tsp rumber sound?
I have this setup, and it sounds good. I consider it pretty quiet for normal driving (under 2k rpm) and very loud when it's at WOT. The headers fit very well and the Y pipe never banged for me.

Personally I think it's not a bad setup, I like the headers and Y pipe. The Rumbler is an exhaust I looked at but I didn't really like the look of the tips.

As for other saying go true duals, well - maybe.

What they aren't telling you is the the Rumbler X duals from TSP dump before the axle so the in cabin noise will most likely be louder and theoretically will have worse ground clearance. If you want TD's out the back you'll have to get them customed fabbed.

Also if you ever plan on running a body mounted torque arm it's not possible with the Rumbler X duals as they are in the way.

As for performance - a good designed Y pipe will scavenge in a simialr manor to an X pipe and 3" tubing flows plenty enough for a bolt on LS1.

PatrickG runs a catted Y and a 3" tubing thru an SLP Dual Dual exhaust (not the most free flowing) and still makes over 460rwhp on his 346ci h/c setup.
