:confused:Hey guys comment on this please. I recently installed a tr224/224 563. 112 in my 2002 ws6, at the same I had my LTs, 3500 stall, 3.73s and tunning done to it. It only made 344rwhp sonds like bullshit to me. I figured to have at least 380 to the ground. before I had this work done all i I had was a LM catback, k&n, lid, and a hypertech tuner and it made 315rwhp in my a4. Now thats only 28tish hp with a cam and LTs!!!!!!! Does this not sound right to anyone? Anyone else have this problem?

check the general stuff aka plugs etc and if everything looks right take it to the track and see what she does...dynos numbers dont mean anything....

Somethings not right... I have the same cam with just a few bolt-ons and made 405 in a M6.

3500 stall on a dyno = not so friendly with numbers. You guys should know something this basic. If the verter isn't locked up, it's going to show low numbers.

Do you know if the converter was locked or not?

#'s look ok to me for a stalled A4 with a relatively small cam. Like other's have said, take it to the track and see how it does.

You should have gained that from the headers alone.

That sounds bout right to me, my car is REALLY close to yours. My cam is a 222/228 551/551 on a 115 and with my 3600 stall and 3.73's i made 375/358 locked, and bout 352/339 unlocked. Your setup sounds fine to me. As mentioned the stall and 3.73's are killing your numbers :)What times are you running, and MPH so i can compare my cars performance to yours :)

No mention of tuning? Car still on the stock tune?

I agree with everyone else...it's the TQ converter throwing off the numbers...

I dont have any times yet, I'm still grinding on the brake calipers. I bought a set of 15x10s and MT 275/50/15 dr's so it would hook. My nitto 555 burn through 3 gears!

Doesn't matter, did you not read the thread ? Unlocked 3500 stall + dyno = poor numbers. At the track will be a different story.

Actually it does, because the Mustang is going to show lower numbers than a Dynojet.

Not relevant, comparing M6 dyno numbers to unlocked stalled A4 dyno numbers is like comparing apples to monkeys.

STALLED A4s AREN'T DYNO FRIENDLY.there was a mustang at an open dyno day last sat. that dynoed at 261rwhp. :eek2: but he runs 12.0s with a 1.6+ 60'.this is with a 3800stall TQ and 4.10 gears, and a little 302 motor.
i think your numbers are probably on par with your mods.but if your not sure, have somebody else look at the tune.

I made 354 on a mustang dyno with mods in my sig. I know how you feel.

I'm pretty sure that it matters since a mustang dyno is usually about 20% less than a Dynojet. So if this dyno time was on a mustang I'd say it looks about right, but if it was on a dynojet I'd say it was low.

Everyone knows that stalled A4's aren't dyno queens, but that doesn't always equal poor numbers, but thanks for trying to flame me. Mike

ALL unlocked a4's will show poor numbers whether mustang dyno or DJ unless using stock conveter. Period dude. You can try and blame it on all the garbage you think is necessary, but in the end, it's still an auto tranny with an aftermarket stall(3500) UNLOCKED. Do a search and you will find this to be VERY common. No flames were intended and if you took it that way, sorry ?

I have also "personally" seen a stalled A4 TR224 dyno in the 340's. His #'s are on par, he just needs to take it to the track to give him peace of mind.

Comparing M6 numbers to Stalled A4's is apples to oranges, get it to the track, and post up some times.

I personally drive a stalled A4 that recently put down 379 with a 224 cam. This is why I was saying that his "low" numbers might be due to the type of dyno he was on?

I do however that the majority of stalled A4's are s@@t on the dyno.

I'm sure your converter was locked as well, where his probably wasn't.

FWIW my previous car made 363 through the TCI SSF3500 on TEAs dyno when they were located in Bowling Green. Car was cam only. TSP 225 on 112, longtubes, ory, Hooker catback, lid, March UD pully, NO ported TB, NO cutout. Take that thing to the track!

:funny:

As I recall, monkeys dyno higher. :D

You're right on the money. Unlocked converter numbers will be skewed.

First, make sure it's tuned. Second, get it to the track then report back.

Tuned with nearly the exact identical mods you have, my A4 with 3600 stall and 3:73 gears made 360/370. That was through MAC's, ported throttle body, and ORY. I had a 220/220 cam on a 112 LSA. Yeah, if the tune was 'right' and the weather conditions were ideal, you should have made a little more power if it was dyno'd on a calibrated Dynojet.
