Oh thank God,
Was waiting for Parker's car to free up a lift for mine, that means mine is getting close. FYI Paul and all the others at www.thunderracing.com are the best :hail: . They've put up with constant phone calls since *cough* Sept 30th and been very very helpful in every aspect. These guys are a class act and now they have the Madman, well, it's gonna be the place to send your car. Kudos to Shane especially for all the help and advice he's given me over this long drawn out ordeal, BUT... the end results are gonna be worth it. The V's gonna be a fucking monster and I can't wait to get back in the drivers seat.

how about, when GM realizes they made a mistake and get us all V owners (except for parker, he never had a V!!) retributions for their brain fart of an idea when the production V rear/drivetrain/1 million pound flywheel...(insert your daily poison) went of the line and said :
"Hmm... whats that noise? Um, thats normal, right?"
"Uh, yeah...."
(Smack!!)
"Arrghh... oh, OH!! YEah, thats right... thats completey normal. Let me not forget to right up the official notice about it before anyone notcies!!"
"Yeah, you do that... dumbass... like we care!!"
"Buahahahaha!!!"
Yeah, i'm a bit bored at work!!! Mondays suck!!

Yeah we are getting very close but we are having problems with the axle and driveshaft people doing things the way we tell them to.

The new rear has 3.90s, but when they're in production they'll have gears options.

As soon as it get done it will be finished. Not a minute sooner nor a minute later. We are at the mercy of the driveshaft builder and axle builder so much of it is out of our hands. Once the finished unit is working then getting the CORRECT parts will be easy. We hope to have this thing wrapped up in a few weeks but in this business there are no promises.

You hope to have to have it wrapped up in a few weeks? Sounds like you either need to change vendors or put your foot up someones ass. I bet if it were your car it would be finished by now. At what point do you think enough is enough? If I were Parker I'd be upset also, I'd be camping out at your door.

Waits patiently to get his V back.
Seriously, who wants to piss off a guy who's nickname is MADMAN. If you do wind up slapping the stock rear back on Parker's car though, pull mine on in and go for it. I miss my V but I realize to get it done right, sometimes it takes awhile. Hats of again to www.thunderracing.com , great bunch of people and they're the real fucking deal.

Yes I HOPE to have it wrapped up in a few weeks. I not sure who you are or what your involvement is with Parker's car. We did not ask Parker for his car to build this rearend nor did we promise any kind of expected date. Parker brought his car to Madman when he busted his stock rear and said "here build the rear with my car". We had a car here to use as a prototype car and didn't need Parkers car. Custom stuff like this always take at least twice as long as expected but when it's done it will be a COMPLETE, QUALITY kit. It won't be done until we are satisified that it is right.
If Parker wants his car back that bad then all he has to do is make one phone call and I can have a stock rear in his car by tomorrow and he can come get it and I'll get him a rear on our first production run.

Honestly, This is my opinion! I dont think these V's are worth a $10,000 REAR END. Seriously, how long are you going to keep this car! I have the problem of sellling my cars every 2 years. I've had my V for 6 months and I want to buy a new M5 already. But the V is pimp... And i bet pimper with a fatass rear end.....

Where did you get a $10K price from?? As far as how long we will keep the car I've already answered that.

Id rather be the 1st with the 9" conversion and wait a couple more weeks to have it. Elite_Hot_Rod has been the guy nice enough to let me borrow his vehicle while the V is down, so he knows day by day my frustration of waiting. Realistically whats a couple weeks when you've already waited 5 months. I hope the axle and driveshaft builder get their ducks in a row. Hope to see you guys soon!

Possession is 9/10s of the law.Keep the car Paul, will you let me drive it when it's done?I've never met Parker,I've heard he's a butt hole.LOL I'd be shitten bricks if Parker was driven my car around for 5 months.I bet the car he's borrowing is gonna need a new diff too!

Not my car Brian, it's Parkers so you don't have to worry about making me happy just your customer. With all the coverage this rear end stands to receive I would think you guys would be all over your supplier to get it done and done correctly or get another supplier with a quickness.

I agree Mark, but I am fighting a losing battle with the prototype shop. Once everything gets built once then I can go to the production shop.

"All the coverage"..... you mean a handful of people that MAY step up to the plate to buy. The "V" is hardly what I consider a highly modded car. Low low production car ='s expensive stand alone aftermarket part. If it was going to be dirt cheap, I still think only a handful will buy.

There are alot more V's on the road HIGHLY modded than you'd think, if I had room I'd list everything Thunder has done to mine. They'll sell more of these than you think, considering the #'s of totally stock rears that have had to be replaced. With the mods on mine I'd grenade the rear 1st day out of the shop, guaranteed.
Mike
PS It's not gonna be dirt cheap but it won't put you in the poorhouse either.
And please lay off Brian and the guys at Thunder, if you're like me you either want it right or not at all, and that's what they're in the process of doing.

I know there will be many more than just a handful of guys that will spring for the 9", not to mention the guys that don't run big power but somehow still break the factory diffs.
