I ordered 9.5x17 OE Concepts ZR1 with the +56mm offset for the front of my T/A, but they shipped the +38mm. The +38mm are flush with the top-outside of the fender well. I like how the +38 extends out, but for some reason everyone seems to run the +56.

I plan to lower my car and I'm worried about clearing the top of the fender well. Is anyone running the +38 offset on the stock or lowered front suspension?

Xsta, I think the 38mm look better also. Your cars look lowered, and I assume you don't have any clearance issues. I have the 275 GS-D3 on the fronts, and they protrude over the edge of the rim some.

I'm just concerned that the tire will rub when I lower the car an inch and then hit a bump.

Yup, both cars are lowered. Up front, at full turn lock the tire does ever so slightly rub the plastic liner. Out back, the Berger has 9.5" as well and the rear passenger tire does contact the wheel well lip ever so often. The Convertible I have 10.5" wheels, and the rear passenger tire hit the wheel well lip too, so I rolled it.

I checked mine this afternoon, and they rub on the inner shroud as well (no problem). When turned in all the way they also catch the edge of the inner fender well. I think the tread would grab it an break the plastic. It looks like the tire would clear this if the car was lowered.

I also run the 38's. I thought the exact same thing, fills out the fenderwell much better.

I also have the ZR1 in a 38mm backspacing on all four corners i like the way thy sit flush with the wheel well

Does the Formula bumper wrap around into the wheel well like it does on the T/A? The tire definately rubs on the edge of the plastic tab on my T/A bumper. I'm pretty sure that I could move the wheel well shroud forward for clearance, but the tab would have to be cut off or pinned forward some how.

i have the 50 offset for the rear and stock ss wheels fro the front dont know what offset they are but i but spacers on the front last week and it looks so much better.

You can see where the tire rubbed the dirt off the plastic shroud. The tire also made contact with the painted black plastic. I think the only options are to (1) cut off that plastic "tab", (2) lower the car an inch, (3) listen to it hum every time I turn halfway to lock, (4) exchange the +38's for the +56's.

When I drove with the +38's, I never heard them rub and there was no additional rub marks. I think the forward motion applied enough force to give them clearance.

Reguardless, I decided to go with the +56's. I think that the flush fit of +38's actually made the +50 11" rears look small. If only they made a +48, I think it would look perfect.

i agree i had the 38 before i hit a median and hated how they stuck out more/even with the rears, but then with the stock ss wheels they were in too much i put a 1/4"spacers on the fronts and its perfect for me. before the spacers the 275tires look tiny!!!especially with the gsd3's in the back

I bet that would look good if you went with 9.5's all the way around. I guess you would lose the ability to rotate the wheels/tires though.
