Default LT1 vs. 04 GTO

Do you guys the lt1 is faster than the 04 GTO. We test drove one and it seemed hella slow compared to my lt1 t/a.

It's around the same if you're talking about a stock lt1. Most 04 gtos run mid-high 13s. Maybe a little faster than the lt1 (high 13s, low 14s).

If you have a lot of mods on your t/a it would definitely be faster.

no, i would agree with infinitebird, the GTO is quite a bit heavier than an F-Body, so I would think its closer than an LS1 F-Body vs an LT1 car

Yea its heavier and the IRS makes it hard to hook up, plus you got skinny rear tires on the GTO

The engine is, but not the car as a whole. As said more weight + IRS slow it down. It is still a little faster than a stock lt1, yes, but not by a lot.

They're slightly faster than a stock LT1 car. Full exhaust and the GTO sees tail lights.

Sorry Honda Hunter, I like LSx cars but stock LT1 C4s usually don't have problems with GTOs.

I have both. A mid 12 second bolt on LT1 and a Near stock 04 GTO. The best in the goat has been a 13.08@107. And thats spinning on ever shift. The GTO would run 12.8's with drag radials. I had to do near every street bolt on to runs 12.5's. The 04 GTO is a badass car!
