Gears & Axles - detroit trutrac

does anyone know what the recomended break-in procedure for a tru track posi? I just installed it but, what has to be done before i can beat on it at the track? :devil: :drive:

Did you also install a new set of gears? 500 miles is the normal break in for gears. Bob

500 miles? I think that may be geared more towards aftermarket gearsets. I was told that oem gears dont have (or have as much?) phosphate coating to wear off at break-in. I am road racing my 35 spline truetrac in my S60 tomrorrow. Drives great on the street. Turns corners like stock. We'll see how it goes!
