Default LS6 slave

Im installing a new centerforce clutch so i want to the chevy dealership to get a LS6 slave cylinder since my car is a 2000 and didnt come with one. The parts guy says that this slave cyl will fit 2000-2002 models and i asked him was it a LS6 slave but i dont think he knew what the hell i was talking about

how can i find out if its a LS6 slave cylinder??

All you need is the standard GM slave and you'll be good to go. The one that came with your car is outdated and GM doesn't even carry that kind anymore.

What is the difference between the old gm and the the new gm slave?
