ok i gota trans am. this summer i wanna drop it. a friend of mine has hotchkis springs in his they are decent but very very stiff also his back strust bottomout and it bangs alot, there only bilstien HD's. anyway i love the look of 315's and when they are tucked close to the fender with like no gap so thats what im gonna do. what would be mybest bet for springs and shock/struts for a daily to retain a decent ride ive been thinking bmr or eibach prokit
i have use eibach prokits in my last 2 cars being :
88 monte SS
88 mazda mx6 GT
i loved the way the prokit felt in both but ive read that in the fbodys they drop more than advertised and sometimes sag in the back.

can describe the ride with them and what struts/shocks do u use, compare it to stock ride maybe.

I have a pro-kit with revavled heavy duty bilstein shocks from Sam Strano (stranoparts.com) The ride is really sporty now! Sharp 360* on/off ramps are a blast!
There are alot more threads on this already in the suspension/handling forum too if you want some more knowledgable opinions

im lookin for a stiff ride but somethin thats not gonna beat me up bad on NJ roads. i like sporty but not harsh

Thats how i would describe mine... sporty but not harsh. If you decide to get the revalved shocks, call Sam and he will talk to you about how you want them to ride and he will give them a custom valving adjustment. Thats what I did and I'm very happy with the results.

yeah my buddy has the hotchkis and regular HD's and especially in the back every bump is like slamming your spine. they definatly are bottoming out its horrible. i dont want that

I running Hotchkis and Bilstein revalves from Stranoparts. Sam set my shocks up for a daily driver and it rides great. A little firmer than stock but not harsh, and no bottoming out.

Springs are more of an individual variable and it's more difficult to absolutely recommend a spring that will work in so many applications like the Koni S/A component. Stock springs don't feel that bad until you get those speeds up there. I like my 1le springs.
I always recommend Konis because of not only their versatility, but also the fact they are the premere off-the-shelf handlers for fbodies and endless other vehicles. Revalved Bilsteins are a great budget alternative to Koni S/As, which seem to be the more popular choice these days for some reason.
