Default converter question

I know this has been asked 1000 times but I cant seem to find a deffinate answer using the search function.

bolting a powerglide to a LS1 using the stock '98 flexplate and the p/g has a turbo input shaft. Can I use any off the shelf turbo converter for this or does there need to be something LS1 specific with the converter? Like the bolt pattern, crankshaft depth, etc.

Thanks guys

you have to buy a crank snout extension from gmpartsdirect.com as well as the longer bolts. after that, you are good to go.

Thanks for all the input, i found it. Hughes makes a adapter under pn# HP3795

**EDIT**After looking at it, it also says it will let me run a older model flexplate as well so I dont have to dump $200 into a TCI SFI approved flexplate. COOL!
