Where to buy Polished or painted Alternator? My alternator is relocated on top due to the turbo kit and looks hideous. I know that Steve69 had one on his blue 69 camaro. There are all kinds in Summit and Jegs but I don't know if they would fit?
1.) Is there a direct replacement for 98+ fbody's?
2.) How many amps do our cars require?
3. ) If there is not a replacement, I thought you couldn't take them apart to have them specially done??? Or can it be done with them still assembled- it would seem hard to do?

Ok why do you think you can't take them apart? They are able to be rebuilt lol. You can have your alternator polished, if it's working properly it still has to be disassembled either way. So have it tested for good output, or if you have a stereo, and other misc draws of the electrical system, you could have it beefed up a lil bit for a higher output.
