What's your reasoning for using "the largest one"? If you've spent much time reading this forum, you'll find it's not going to make your car fast. Perhaps you have other goals. Tell us about them.

why wouldnt a camshaft make youre car fast? thats pretty retarted ,but get a custom grind from Joe O or bret bauer to get the most power and dont forget the rest of the valvetrain components

I think he meant there is more to picking a cam than just getting huge duration and lift numbers. But yeah, custom grinds are the best way to go. Do your research and look at some of the results people around this site have had with certain grinds.

Obviously a cam can help, but the "largest cam" which you can stuff in the engine isn't the answer. Sorry if I was obtuse in my previous post.

FWIW, I talk daily with Bret about stuff like this. That happens when you are related.

Ive got a CC306 cam if your interested, can't afford the gas if I was to put it in, and from what ive read (not experience, cuz I never installed it) it is a tad large. Lots of info on this board though for your help.

Chris, You could call him "Jack" Bauer... with a name like that he has to know what he is talking about lol. He's asking the question to get people thinking that a big cam is not always the answer.
