Default Horn beeps when locking doors?

Is there a way to set the anti-theft system to not beep when you hit the lock button on the key fob? I think it's really annoying, especially coming home late at night Thanks guys!

Yes, there's a kooky sequence of things that will change
the alarm system behavior; believe it's documented in the
owner's manual and I've seen it online. Probably in the
Stero & Electronics section, would be the best place to
go dig.

well it may be annoying, but if someone is scoping out your car and they hear the alarm beep they may be a little more likely to leave it alone.

If you lock the car with the button on the door, it won't beep after you close the door. The lights will flash and the alarm light does all the same stuff as normal. I checked to make sure it was armed by kicking the tire because it's pretty sensitive and it did go off, so it does arm this way also. I've never checked anybody elses car to see if it works this way also, but you may wanna check it out.

Thanks all of you for the help. I will try to do the programming sequence mentioned above, but I did check and MTN_Z's method works just as well.

I wouldn't even bother programming - I've always just hit the lock button.
