Light weight flywheel?

Light weight flywheel?
Is there any benefit to having a lightweight flywheel in our cars. I am trying to lower the rotational mass that the motor has to spin. I will be running the car in the May Nevada Open Road Challenge and running the car over 5 grand for about 40minutes so I want to reduce as much stress as I can on the motor. I have an ACPT CF DS coming and from what I hear, that will really help. But I was wondering about the flywheel. Any input would be appreciated.

Re: Light weight flywheel?
ur engine will rev faster with an aluminum or billet steel flywheel. I think that the lighweight fly wheels are suggested for people that do road courses. If i were goin to get one, i'd get the billet because it's a lil bit stronger. but still ways a bit less than the stock one.
