Default help on th350

hey guys im bying a car with a th350 and does all th350's come with manual valve bodies? i want to run a ratchet on it so what are some part nmbers so i can get it hooked up? thanks

No th350's come with manual valve bodies, if you have one with a manual vb is has been put in there by an aftermarket source.

You don't need any part numbers to get it hooked up reguardless of what vb is in it, all you need is to find a shifter.

B&M's universal ratchet shifter works great with the th350, it can be had for a fair price also. If you are buying a car with that trans, what does the current owner use for it to drive? Is it an actual "automatic" th350? Or did they specify it was a manual valve?

Also, for what it's worth, I use a 2 foot long shifter cable with mine. It originally used a 4 foot long cable, but even with heat shields it ended up melting

No you don,t have to have a manual valve body. You can run any shifter you like with a fully automatic tranny.
Mounting the shifter will be your biggest headache.
