I don't know if this is your problem for sure but if your car is a manual trans double check the saftey switch on the clutch. It is located under the dash right at the top of the clutch pedal. There is switch that is adjustable via a threaded piece that needs to be threaded toward the pedal so that the plunger is pushed in when the clutch is at the top of its travel. When the clutch is depressed the pluger is released and will shut the cruise off. It might not be threaded in far enough and is causing the cruise to kick out. If this is not it then it sounds like it might be a electrical issue since you stated that it happens when it rains, which could be moisture causing havec somewhere. Good luck man.

I also had problems with my clutch pedal saftey switch. With the clutch pedal out, it is pressed in. Mine had jammed itself in the hole, too far away from the pedal. I just had to yank it back out toward the pedal some.

Brake pedal has the same kinda switch on it too.

Yours doesn't seem to be switch related though. Does your car have TCS?
