Default X-mas buying help

I am looking at all SLP. A MAF, lid, smooth bellow, and strut tower brace. i have a 02 ws6 a4, does the airlid work on ram air? Does everything else sound good? Later on i plan for exhaust. Is the slp loudmouth crazy loud inside the car?

Yes the airlid works on the ram air. By MAF if you mean ported MAF there are some problems that i have heard about with that and an automatic transmission. Might want to look more into that before you buy it.

I have the SLP Lid, MAF, Smooth Bellows, and STB on my 02 SS. I haven't had any problems with mine. For the money I've spent (around $400) for the Lid, K&N Filter, MAF, and Bellows I'm happy with the increase in throttle response that I felt after installing the parts. That's just my .02

As to Tranny problems with using a larger MAF on A4 cars. The SLP MAF is calibrated to work with a stock PCM so you don't have to worry about it damaging your tranny. I believe the problems only occur with a stock, ported MAF that hasn't been properly recalibrated.

for sure get a lid and a K&N,bellow. I purchased the 300$ MAF and i guess i wasnt really satisfied for the money, the little hp you get. The stock MAF can support 400hp, so if i were you, i think its twice the fun to go pick out a catback exhaust <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
