Default Is this a Rip Off?

I have a 95 firehawk, red, ttops, black leather, M6. The car only has 53k miles on it but is a little rough on the outside. Doesn't really need a paint job, but has 4 or 5 door dings, both bumpers are cracked, and a chip in the spoiler. I paid 6,250 for it last year and am thinking about trading it for a 95 formula with an 02 WS6 front clip. Car has 90k miles, M6, ttops, and leather. Has been repainted black with 18 chrome rebel wheels. Would a strait up trade be fair? He is asking 8500 and I know the guy didn't cut any corners with this car, it is preety damn immaculate and the paint looks great. What do you guys think?

well you did get a good deal on a firehawk. it is all up to you. Do you think it is worth it. I mean you have a really low mile car. with just a few minor imperfections. was it in any accident? just curious about the cracks in the front and back bumpers. The other car you speak of has had a lot of work done. I mean it looks just like an LS1 car. great paint on it. But it is up to you.
thanks

The cracks aren't cracks in the fiberglass, just the paint. It is peeling off the front and back bumper, and spider cracked on the formula wing. There is a pretty good scratch or ding on pretty much every panel of the car except for the drivers door. This is why If I keep it I'm having it repainted this winter. The other car looks so badass and all it would need is a high rise spoiler and would look just like an 02 WS6. It already has immaculate paint and new rims that just set it off. If I did get that car appearance would be completely done. But, it has 90k miles. I haven't talked to the guy yet about it, we are meeting tomorrow night. I will only do a trade where I give him like 200 bucks or less, or anything under that. I do not plan on giving him a lot of money plus my car. And my car wasn't in an accident, just not taken car of very well by the 1st owner, I'm the second owner.

i honestly dont see the point in trading a limeted edition lt1 car for a more common lt1 car that looks like an ls1 car. But its your deal.

I'd keep your Hawk and fix the dings/scratches/paint. You have a lower mileage car that is more rare. If you want a WS6, fix up your car cosmetically and sell it. You would likely fetch a better price for a Hawk than a lookalike WS6, if that is what you want to do. IMHO.

I agree with everyone above. If it had an LS1 transplanted into to it then it might have been and inprovement. But your car is rarer, probably handles a bit better and has less miles so toher than the looks you won't get anything better or even the same as you already have. My .02

Your hawk is an actual rare car. Id keep it. Plus you have way less miles. Although the formula must be one damn good looking car.

I was just thinking, you could find a real LS1 bird for 8500 If you looked around.

I bought my 99 of ebay 2 1/2 years ago for 8000 and it was mint.
