Headers
I am sure this has been posted a 100 times but I am new here so here is 101. I have a 01 Formula with the following mods...SLP lid, FTRA, 160 stat, Predator programmer, SLP y-pipe and Flowmaster cat-back. I have no major upgrades ( heads, cam ) planned for the near future, but I am strongly considering headers. I am looking at shorties, with what I have done should I go with the mids or will the shorties be sufficent? I am also looking for a deal if anyone knows of one.

Re: Headers
The stock manifolds flow about as well as shorties go with MACS or long tubes or save your money. My .02

Re: Headers
I had edelbrock shorties and hated them, they were easy to hook up and connected to the stock exhaust but sucked, I pulled them off and went with the MAC med Tubes, off road pipe and Muflex cat back. Im happy now and my exhaust will never be touched again.

Re: Headers
LS1fbird, Go for long tubes, They by far give the best bang for the buck. I work for Kook's headers and we manufacture an extremely well made piece. All our headers have scavenger spikes built in to the collectors. Lastly they offer a relatively simple installation. There are vendors on this board that stock them. T.E.A., Rapid Motorsports, and Ramchargers just to name a few.BTW for all those who don't know, we can tailor make LS1 headers to fit your HP needs. Some guys have real high HP combinations that require custom sizing or even step design. We offer that as well, thru our dealers. Thanx
