Default Exactly what are all f-body options for drag wheels?

I know most guys run prostars or draglites, but my question is..... whichout much mods, what are all the options that fit our cars? A while ago i remember a thread with pictures of a NBM WS6 at a gas station at night with some awesome drag wheels, what are they? Bogarts maybe...? What all options do we have? Thanks

Bogarts are the way to go if you have the $$ and don't want to grind the calipers.
Some guys run Centerline Convo Pros or Warriors, but they don't have the ideal backspacing to keep the rims from sticking out past the quarter panel.

For Welds, you will have to grind your calipers. The fronts can be done with just a 5/16" spacer and longer studs if you don't want to grind them, but the rears will require a good amount of grinding to fit, even if you did try to run a spacer.

Those almost look like Telstars to me. If they are, they require a visit from the ol' caliper grinder

The Bogarts that you can purchase through Steve (sponsor here) will fit the car without any mods. Shoot him a PM for pricing

That is def. the bogarts. I believe his comment in a thread with that pic was when you want to whip someone's *** and look good doing it.

hey man i hate to bring the bad news but that car has a 9inch shortend like 2.50 inches on each side or something like that. you will probably be able to find the same wheel but you wont be able to put the deep dish type wheel he has.

yeah, i know what your talking about.... that picture of the nbm @ the gas station... the reason why he has that deep dish in the back is becasue he had his rear end shortened by 2". That gives you the ability to run a much smaller offset, which means you can run a much much bigger lip.

Those are Bogart welded RTs. Rear end shortened 2"+ on each side for the super deep dish. That car belongs to rufretic on the boards. Pretty much sold me on welded RTs.

I had my Moser narrowed an inch on each side by Moser before they sent it to me. No charge.

I run Centerline Warriors 15 X 8.5 with a 5.5 backspace and they tuck up real nice with MT Drag Radials 275 X 15.

I plan to get a set 15 x 10 Centerline Warriors for the rear. The 10 inch Centerline Warrior or Convo ET both have 6.5 inch backspacing so they tuck up same as 8.5's and not stick out. Neither the 5.5 or the 6.5 require grinding the calipers front or rear. I run 4.5 narrows on front with 1.5 backspacing.

http://www.centerlinewheels.com/whee...id=11&sw_id=65

As for narrowing the rear 2 inches, you have to take into account if you decide to run street rims with 7.5 inch backspacing that they will tuck in 2 inches, so you will need to run spacers to get then back out so they line with with the fender. I have to run 1 inch spacers when I bolt the ZR1's back on for the street. You would have to install some extemely long studs to handle two inch spacers. So I don't think it would be safe to run street rims with 2 inch spacers with a 2 inch narrowed rearend.

I don't run drag wheels or skinnies on the street.

BTW the Centerlines are extemely light but not as light as the Bogarts and they are not race only as are some of the Welds.

Shoot me an e-mail from our link listed below. Once you fill out the required fields and e-mail it, I can assist you with my best recommendations to you.

I personally design the wheels to work on many late-model autos. Along with initiating production of LT1/LS1 LS1 wheel combos...You'll see many new designs and setups directly from us. We don't just sell wheels, I'm a mechanical engineer, I design setups for cars...Keeping the site updated as best we can. You'll find many styles and setups not seen anywhere else.

We can design a custom rear-end combo along with the wheels to meet the goals of our customers. Wheel prices are not listed, depending on how we build the wheels, prices vary. We do offer for our Bogart customer’s special incentives for Strange Engineering products. It is a way of saying thank you for choosing our products. Other then Strange Engineering, we only sell products we design or manufacture.

Rest assured, custom service, personalization and attention to detail is what you will find from SJM Manufacturing Inc. All custom designs pass directly through me. Utilizing my experience and educational background, rest assured you are in good hands!
