Default widening my Z06 rims....

I am going to widen my Z06 rims 18x10.5 to a 12" total width. I am not sure of the offset but I know it is either +54mm or +56mm. I kinow I am going to rum into soem problems here but i already have installed some longer studs and have a few wheels spacers ready to go but does anybody know what other problem i might run into. I think the bumpstops my have to be cut out. I am going to install 335/30/18. ANY INPUT THAT IS USEFUL IS APPRECIATED. THANKS.

Ill try and help you out as much as you can, with a 10.5 inch wheel with a 56mm offset, then getting it widened to 12 inches you add 1.5 inches or ( 24.5mm X 1.5) to the wheel width. Now you have a offset of 75mm. Wayyy to huge, you going to need about a 1 inch spacer to make the wheels fit. So your new offset will be (75mm-24.5mm) = 49.5MM

Good luck.

You're going to have to beat the inner fenderwells to death, probably do some cutting, then beat the hell out of them some more, possible even notch the LCAs. It can be done, just search 93formto98TA's threads. He did it on his car and it looks killer, there's just alot of work that has to be done to pull it off.

not necessarly, it always depends on the correct offset and backspacing, 93formto98ta had a 12 rim with 58mm offset, with a 12 wide wheel and a 49mm offset you are looking at a LOT less innerfender work
