Default What is QTP doing about Header / Steering arm fitment issues?

Is QTP doing anything about the header / steering arm clearance issues?

I have a set on order and from the posts I've read, I'm concerned they don't care about the fitment issues.

I would like to know the same thing as Im waiting on mine as well? I would have rather spent the extra money that they used to cost if thats what it takes to get a truly high quality header? If nothing else I just wish they would come on here and acknowledge the fact theres a problem and how they are addressing it?

What do you think they are doing? They are denying that the problem even exists. Gotta love QTP customer service.

Guys,
If anyone has a problem with the headers they should call us. We have only had like 3-4 guys that had a problem over the last 6-7 months with the new hvmc. And 2 of them we found out they front end damage and it was not a header problem. Thats it. And we have over 400 sets out there right now. So 2-3 out of 400 aint bad. We are human ya know. If someone has a problem they should call us.

I just pulled my personal car apart to test fit the headers and no issues. And we just installed a set on a customers car a week ago. When in like butter.
And as these cars get older with more mileage sometimes its the car and not the headers. Motor mounts are shot and cars might have some chassis damage to make the fitment a problem.

These headers are very time consuming to make. The wait times are longer but we are getting better on it. We get a batch out ever 2 months. And large batches might i say. Next batch is looking like next month. And these headers are not the only thing we make here. We are not huge like Hooker or Magnaflow but we do try to build the best with care.

If anyone has a problem please call us.

I had clearance issues but it wasn't worth having the car down to replace the header which is why I didn't call. I've posted pics in the external section about how the clearance was and what was needed to be done in order to get the extra 1/2 inch space to clear the steering column. Car has less than 50K and no damage to the frame.

Quick Time - I'm glad you responded. It's good to hear you were aware of the issues and even checked it yourself. I like your product and am looking forward to getting them. You were on the top of my list with Kooks, I chose QTP for the HVMC.

I was just concerned about the couple posts and no response. From what you've written, I'm confident that your headers will fit well in my car since it is a low mile car with no frame damage. It's also good to know you will stand behind your product if it doesn't.

I have had dealings with Barry and QTP, and they are just damned busy. I had a couple issues, and with a little patience, and time, they were sorted out. A little understanding goes a long ways sometimes. They are just as human as us, and have only so many hands. I' m not trying to deminish your feelings, and hardships, but, if you can work with them, they will work with you. That' s what I have found. I was a little upset too, but, I don' t like when someone is a little too agressive with me, anymore than the next person. I' m sure, through experience, that he will get you sqaured away.
Good luck, and I' m sure it will work out for you.

I had trouble with mine also there hitting the frame on the passenger side and the driver side is hitting the steering. Im going to try and move the steering over later today or tomorrow. Like Barry said though the product is great and every car is different and I know my car has frame damage so thats next on the list to fix since its hurting the headers.
