Default Need Help On Friend's Saleen Cam Job Asap Please

Well my buddy is thinking of doing a cam swap in his 03 saleen S281. We need help determining what cam would be the best for him. All he has is a 75m accufab throttle body and plenium. He also has exhuast and no headers, the question is do we need to buy a set of cam gears or do the stock gears work with the cam application. Also do yall have any recommendations of what cam will make this bitch ****** rumble. Thanks Chase

www.modularpowerhouse.com or www.modulardepot.com

The VT Stage II cams are really good, but hard to come by (backorder), pretty much anything from MPH is good as well, and they are in stock. It really depends on what he wants, mild or wild, the 2V cams don't really lope to aggressivly, so driveability is not much of an issue. I suggest you contact Tim@MPH and talk to him about it, you will need springs for sure, not sure about the gears, depends if he had the press on gears or not(some year models were diffrerent, I dont remember which is which).

Hope this helps

Anderson has a neat tool that holds the gears in place, making the cam swap alot easier. I would look into that. For cams....don't know

YES!! GET THIS TOOL! With this tool you DO NOT have to remove all front accessories, you do NOT have to remove the front timing chain covers. All you do is pull the valve covers(and most likely intake). It will save you a few hours and headaches.
