Exactly! A stock screened MAF will be good for about 500-600rwhp. So that would be your best bet. If you're set on going aftermarket though, Granatelli works really well on my friend's LT1 car, and I have heard nothing but bad things about the SLP unit. But don't Vettes already have de-screened MAF's from the factory? Or is it just the Z06?

The stocker is your best bet for now. I'll bet it's the wiring harness going into your MAF, or it's dirty. Does the car stumble really bad when you are trying to accelerate?
What was the exact code?

keep it stock unless you are planning on getting a tune after you put on a 85mm maf.
