GMR speed single kit or D-1SC?
I have a very big check coming in soon so Im going to boost the Z. But my problem is I dont know what to go with in this case? Im lloking at the procharger d-1sc or the gmr speed single kit with a 76mm upgrade I believe it is. Right now Im on a sto 4l60e and rear but I will be on forged pistons and rods when I install the FI. Im going to install the kit then order my 400 and 12 bolt. and install everything at the saem time. I want to boost about 14-15 lbs on the street on 93 octane and around 20 at the track to run 9's. I will be on stock cubes but my goal is a consistent mid 10 with like 14 or 15lbs. Which kit would be better for my application? I like both kits but im new to FI. Would one be higher hp levels at lower boost? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you were determined to stay with turbo I think the dual kit from GMR would be a better choice considering your goals.
The single is a great choice for a street kit but it has limitations at higher boost/RWHP levels. (Inherent with the single log design being used)

Go with the D-1SC and SDCE tension setup for what you are looking for. You will be able to squeeze 15-16psi on a good flowing 346 cid and around 750rwhp or so maxed out. Another choice is the F1 which would put u around 850rwhp or so maxed out. If you want more power then get the F1-C. The F1-C is good for 950rwhp+ if you ever need it.

Yes you can order the kit and ask for a F1 unit instead. You might only pay something like $400-500 extra as an upgrade. Bob at EPP is the best guy to deal with... give him a call or PM him on this forum.
Good luck.

If that in-coming check is that (very) big, then...if i were you i would go with the T.T.I. RACE KIT OR SPEEDINC ELIMINATOR KIT and go with their bigger optional turbo unit. Those kits are proven to make some sick power, go check-out their websites, or better yet go visit "mightymouse" website, and then you need to see the street race "MECHAM vs SUPRA". - just my .02cents

ohh yeah, Mecham Vs Supra is my reason for wanting a turbo setup. Well not entirely, but pulling lengths on a big-boost supra from a roll on is quite an accomplishment, wether people like to admit it or not. The look on the supra drivers face must be priceless

I was in the smae boat as you pretty much exactly. After seeing how thw log kit feeds both engine banks through a single log and how terrible that owuld be at big HP levels, and the D1SC working at the same power levels while being a much cheaper and simpler setup. Producing basically the same power, i figured how could i go wrong. Bob took my order this friday just before the price hikes went into effect. Im happy with my decision.
