Hello... I just picked up a Arrest-Me Red '97 Trans am for 9k... I'm sorry I dont have any pics yet.

I am from the import world so I have a few questions about these cars.

1) Where can I get some kick *** Altezzas?
2) What kind of NOS should I get?
3) Will 20" chrome spinners fit at stock height? or do i have to lift it?
4) I'm partial to FWD, has this ever been done to this car? How much was the kit?
5) Do they sell the ram air carbon fiber hoods? Or am I just gonna have to spray this one black?
6) Where are the sick *** body kits for this body style?


Any help is appreciated, I have about 10k more to spend, and wanna make this the best Trans Am out there.

i find it difficult to swallow that you aren't familiar with the sharp divide between native and import enthusiasts. around these parts, it is generally agreed upon that these fine examples of American Muscle do not belong looking like they rolled in from The Fast n The Furious.

Although in full honesty its your car do what you want to it, but most fbody enthusaists here feel contempt for such "mods", myself included.

Let me explain something, and I am sure that about 99.9% of the people here can back me here. You being from the Import world, you will have no idea how to drive this car, and how it handles.
The best thing about these cars in my opinion is the REAR WHEEL DRIVE. I like to be able to get on it, kick the *** sideways sometimes, leave rubber and white smoke, and show people, expecially the front wheel 4 cylinders of nothing, the raw American power of a V8, and the aspect of don't **** with it. If you haven't looked under the hood yet and seen the 350 C.I.(5.7l for you import guys) LT1 engine in there, find me the space where you would put a setup for front wheel drive. These cars have this engine crammed in it.
As far as Body Kits and 20's, you have to be kidding. These are sports cars, not cars to Dub out. I have lowering springs on mine, but it's a perfromance kit, not for show. And you would lift it for 20's? Wow... no further comment there.
Question, not to dis you the whole time. What made you get this car, was it cause it was beating your Imports? Just wondering...

Are you kidding me. My girl drives a honda accord, but I would never come to a fourm like this, and ask where I could get this stuff. I might have my panties in a bunch, but when it come to turning a muscle car into a ricer is not what I want to see happen. Thats my .02.

If you want a V8 AWD, look into an Audi S4. As far as an F-body, that is a car that is always been a muscle car, not a ricer. It's cool to have ideas, but these cars should be left the way they are. Some kid in a mustang did the same thing, made it look like a ricer. He was a V6, with Cobra badges all over it, body kit, 20's. He wanted to play, and got embarrassed. He didn't really have much to begin with anyways.
