Default Its Cam Time

My buddy and I are going to be installing a CC306 in his lt1 later on this week, and I was just wondering if there are any tips or tricks for the LT1 cam swap. It seems pretty straight forward but I just thought I ask the lt1 experts. I know its going to be alot hard than my ls1 was to do. Any advice would be appreciated.

I did my ls1 in 6 hours it is pretty straight forward and you dont have to remove the intake manifold. with the lt1 you have to deal a little bit more Optispark, intakemanifold and vac lines just for starters. I should have said more time consuming to do.

The LS1 has Lifter retainers. With the Heads off, you rotate the Cam a couple of revolutions, and the Lifters go up and stay up. No need to remove them. And there is less stuff on the front of the engine, as mentioned above.
