You can get an SLP Loudmouth for about $349.00 and put it on yourself.Flows very well .A simple but effective system. The neighbors will hear you loud and clear.

ok actually loud mouth sounds just as crappy as a cut-out IMHO so listen to different brands, GMMG borla, corsa and a dual system. and if i didnt have GMMG id get duals. they sound sick!

You could always go with the Dynomouth... sounds better than the LM in my (and alot of others) opinion. It also was purchased and installed for $125!!!

It's all about sound. All the cat-backs, and plain mufflers for that matter, make the same gains until you get into major mods.
I have the Dynomouth, you can't beat the sound IMO and it's a fact you can't beat the price.
Mine was $140 with professional install.

Listen to some of those. IMO, the Random Tech and Hooker cat-backs sound waaaayyy better than the others. I have a Flowmaster on my IROC and it sounds pretty good, but I think an LS1 with a Hooker or Random Tech sounds fantastic. It just depends on what sounds good to you.

If you have a really good exhaust shop, like I am fortunate enough to have, he could fab it right from the cats, into the Y, all the way back. My exhaust guy is amazing... he even got out a level and tape measure to make sure that everything was level, and perfectly centered, from the front to the tips!! All for $125!

I have all the info on the Dynomouth on page 2 of my website. It has been going down lately because the Cardomain server is overloaded apparently, so you might have to be patient to get the info. If you are in a hurry I can copy/paste the page to an email.

i would say the loud mouth. borla is way over priced. slp's loud mouth dose not sound like crap. sounds just like borla with out the money and using that stupid cut out. that if u don't use and u leave it open ur not using a 500 dollar muffler.

Re: Best power gaining/sounding exhaust system...
get the loud mouth, it is trube about a wide open porla being a 500 dollar muffler not in use. Good thinkin (pat on the back). But if it drones but a bullet in the cross pipe and that solves it.

Re: Best power gaining/sounding exhaust system...
You know what they say about opinions, everyone has one. Just listen to some sound clips and find the right one for you. I wanted mine to be loud when i was in the gas, but when it was ideling, i wanted it to be deeper, not rattling the **** out of the car. Look at the performance aspects of your system as well. I hate to through this on the board, but think about the rice burners running around with neon flashing mufflers for sound? You have V8 american horse power, Represent
