He reset the world record that weekend at 5.80. He had hopes of getting in the 70's that weekend but the race was rained out.
The bike is amazing to watch, expecially at night. It throws 5 foot flames out the pipes which come up behind is butt out the pipes. He has run as fast as 248 mph (remember there is no roll bars to protect you). At those speeds you have to stay tucked down or risk getting blown off the bike !
The motor is only 93 cubic inches and runs on 90 to 93 percent nitro. The sixty foots are in the .990 to 1.02 range and the bike weighs alittle under 1100 lbs wet. The wheel base is 101" axle to axle.
Videos really don't do it justice, you really need to see it in person to get the full effect of how amazing it really is.
