Default New Edelbrock longtubes for F body

I see that Edelbrock is now making longtubes for F body cars. It's part #6570 and according to the information I have, they are a stepped header with 1 3/4", stepped to 1 7/8" and come with a true expansion cone behind the merge collector. Collector size is listed at 3 1/2". These headers are made from mild steel and are intended mostly for drag racing. They list the price at $510.95.
Has anyone tried a set of these yet?
Thanks,

Richard

Sorry no link. I was just reading from the latest Distributor News bulletin. Apparently it's a very new product, but I'll try and get some more info this next week. Of course their holiday schedule means that we might not learn more until the first of Jan............
The picture of the header looks pretty nice. The collector is as I would like to see on a drag race header.

Interesting. But for the money, I think I'll just get a set of Dynatechs and put a less expensive collector on them. The Dynatechs are coated too.

They are the same exact design as the Hookers and Jet hot's, nothing special......

I didn't know Hooker had stepped tubes, I think that the JetHot have the stepped design but they cost more. Does not look like too bad of a deal to me. Maybe I've got my wires crossed up. O-well, someone will let me know if I do.

Look at a picture of Hookers, and then look at these. Other than the stepped on the Edle's, they're identical. I'll stick to the tried and true Grotts...

NEW? Edelbrock has had LS1 headers for a while now. there in the Summit Catalog. Unless they redesigned them.

The new ones are LT's. If i'm not mistaken, the ones that have been for sale before are shorties...

but you can get hooker and jet hot lts with ceramic coating for about the same money. why settle for black paint when you can get coated for the same price and the designs are almost the same with the collectors being different.

So far I've not seen an Edelbrock exhaust product, I'd want on even my beater 3rd Gen. (I'm on record as hating Hooker's quality which I have on my T/A.)

I'll keep an open mind about the potential power due to the collector design.

Can't say much for their LS1 headers, but I did have a set on my L-98 and I gained almost 2/10's and 1 mph in the 1/8th mile with the stock cats still on! I had them for many years without so much as a single problem.
