Default RR/EFI and auto ve

i've never seen the EFI live stuff and im really interrested in it and and roadrunner hardware and software package...

I'll tell you right now if i can get on the fly changes with auto ve... i think that will help my inferior tunning skills...

i have never tuned a car in my life but i dont mind dropping 2k$ on some tunning software and hardware if it will ease the pain of tunning...

is it really as easy as some guys make it out to be...

and if im really hung out to dry can i call some EFI live sponsors or makers to get some help?

i will be starting with a 408 8.7CR and D1 with a 230ish duration cam...

im really just tired of making 3+ hour trips and just want to be able to do it myself...

any other new tuners out there that found efi live and the RR to make tunning a breeze?

thanks,

Tyler

rr just gives you the ability to make changes in real time meaning you dont have to flash for every little thing...its still up to you to know what to change, why & how much.

ok let me ask this...

for me to be able to use the custom OS do i have to have the commercial license to flash my computer to apply the custom OS?

i see i can download it from EFI live's site but would i be able to flash it with the personal version is the question?

does the roadrunner come with the custom OS?

the car is a 02 z28 408 that will see around 15lbs of boost via a D1.

yes to change your operating system you'd need the $849 version of efilive. Roadrunner is hardware & the licensing so you can use it with efilive or tunercat.

You would NOT need the commercial license to put a custom OS in the RoadRunner. The only time you would need the license is is you are putting a file (custom or otherwise) back into a GM PCM.

Here is a little lite reading for you. In post 37 Jesse (Wait4me Performance) tell how he completely tuned his 408 supercharged Camaro from scratch with his wife and the RR.

:EDIT:
Oops, sorry, I realized I posted this same thing for you in your other thread on this same topic yesterday. (did you read it?)
