How come you need to run spacers? Just do the BFG mod.

Big F*u*c*K*ing Hammer to beat out the bump out located on the inside our our rear wheel housings. No big deal. Just make sure to keep the rear seat in the locked up right position when doing the mod. As I have heard of people banging so hard that the seat would not lock back into place.

I've heard of people running spacers on stock studs. I think the biggest they mentioned running was 1/4 or 5/16. That would equate to 1/4 = 6.4 mm and 5/16 = 8 mm.

Because I like the look of wide tires. I want my tires to stick out a tad more.

as far as I know that hump is not problem.
I have heard that a 1/4" spacer can be ran though.
Let me know if someone can confirm this.

I run a 5/16" spacer on my fronts. I wouldn't go any bigger than that, but that's just me

what size wheels do you have? and what offset? if they are 17x9 or 17x9.5 with a 50mm offset. I recommend buying a 1inch spacer. The type of the spacer that has they're own studs. I've ran 1inch spacers on 17x9 and 17x9.5 zr1's and they stuck them out like 11's. these wheels on my car in the pic are 17x9 with a 50mm offset with a 1inch spacer.

I have the Black Z06's 18x10.5 not sure of the offset. 56mm or 58mm maybe

i just want to know if a 1/4'' spacer would be alright to run in the back of course.
thanks

Jason

The 5/16 spacer would better suit the 10.5" wheels. More than likely they are 58 mm offset and that would put you at a 50 mm offset, which is good. A 1/4 inch spacer would give you 51.6 mm offset which is still good clearance. It all depends on what you can run. Like I said I've only heard of people running 5/16 spacers like Strahley mentions above but I don't know if that is the optimum for stock studs. But then again some people don't even recommend running spacers at all.

I would never suggest anyone to use spacers and would definately never use them on stock studs. Adapters style spacers are the safest way to go if you have to run a spacer, but I think the min. thickness that they come is 1/2" but not positive. If you are determined to run slide on spacers, then I would definately suggest to up-grade the wheel studs to heavier duty ones.
