Default Headers vs starter

Put headers on my T/a in Dec, and lately when I go to start it, the starter seems to drag a bit (the whole electrical system has been checked and found within specs)
Just wondering if LTs on an LS1 have the same effect on the starter that they do on an older SBC (heat soak the starter and make it hard to spin the car over)
Any of you guys with LTs ever get this on your LS1s?

the only problem i had with the starter was the relay wire was shorting on my passenger header. a zip tie and electrical tape fixed that
