Default Edelbrock intake on my Hi-Flo?

Bill @ Hi-Flo told me to I should consider putting the Edelbrock's intake on my 6spd stock bottom ,Patriot heads ,ls6 cam and Gt42...that it will be worth 30-40rwhp. Is that true, being that its stock cubes wont my car be a pig @ low rpm's? Whats the down side of those manifolds, will i have to cut into my SS hood? What mods(fuel, electronics)would have to be done? What size T-body should I use if I switch manifolds or just leave well enough alone? How many people have experience with them? Thanks for a the help

Yes it would gain quite a bit. Shouldn't be a pig. Clearance may be depending on what intake elbow you get. Use at least a 90mm TB. Quite a few people use them. Just search around.

is it worth the trouble and money? Do I need to cut anything in my hood?

The eldebrock is about .5" taller than the GMPP... I think that they flow about the same but the Eldebrock may flow a LITTLE more...People have had really good experience with both of them though so there's really no wrong choice...

I go for the Edelbrock due to it coming with a nice fuel rail kit.

I've seen that the Victor Jr. seems to be the latest craze.. What's so different about it? How does it compare to the Fast 90? ls6? Is it best for turbo applications?
