Thumbs up Latest pics of the race car - new interior

I've been busy this week. Installed new carpet, built seat mounts for the Sparco seats including slider rails for each side, made a radio/HVAC delete plate out of aluminum sheet, and put the headers and Y-pipe back on the car. Its now running and ready to sell

Ordered the carpet from Speed Inc. I special ordered it uncut because I got rid of the console, took me a few hours to install it. 10-pt cages are so fun to cut carpet around

Nice job Tony. Very clean car. $21K is a great price for the quality in that ride.

Tim, the seats weigh 15 lbs each without brackets. Some guys fab up permanent place brackets and bolt them in. I added sliders to both sides, so mine came out heavier. Probably another 10-12 lbs per slider/frame. They are much more comfortable and better looking than sheetmetal Kirkeys though.

2002 stock bottom end 346ci
CNC ported LS6 heads, Futral 228/230 112 cam, ARP head studs
Dynatech stepped longtubes with 3.5" collectors into 4" Y-pipe, dumped
LS6 intake
~430 rwhp

The car ran 11.30 when it was a 6-speed and about 400 lbs heavier. I'd guess mid/high 10s with the current converter (its tight), probably high 9s with the right converter. Its stalled for 1000 rwhp, based on my turbo plans.

Car looks gorgeous.... I wish I had 21K laying around in an offshore account....

Carpet looks sweet too.... Might be making a call to speed inc.. they still make it???? someone told me they stopped making the lightweight carpet....

You sure you don't want a 96 Impala SS? It just got done with another round of mods at Madman's. And our new engine should be done in the next few weeks.
