Default Dart heads

i Just purchased 225 pro 1 dart heads, they have 2.08 and 1.6 valves, i have full bolt ons with a tsp 225-225-112 cam. Do you think these heads will perform good or is the 225 to big or the valves too big for my application??
thanks for any info

that's a baby cam sir the heads will be plenty for it.

the valve size I'm not sure but, if you're on stock cubes I think the 1.6 exhaust valve is going to be shrouded. If you're on a big bore then you're perfect. I know afr's 225's have both small bore and big bore heads.

You should be fine. I have a set of dart 225 waitin to go on my car. I have a 224/224 .576/.576 on a 112 and i am keepin that cam (stock cubes). If you were to go to a bigger cam you would make just a little more up top. It all depends on your application really though, are you street driver and cruising or are you trying to achive an all out drag car. Street you should be fine which is what i am about. If your goin for drag i would say go larger. I am actually gunna have my head opened up a little bigger in the intake and exhaust runners and have everything blended in. But if you are to keep a 225cc runner that is fine too. Remember on some 243 (ls6) casting heads that have been ported they are opened up to around a 240cc+ so really these heads arent not all that big compared to some ported heads. Only downside is the valve size in the dart 225 which i agree on are a lil big but thats ok. So its all up too you man, all depends what you want out of the car.
peace rob

if your running a stock cubic inch motor the 205's will give you a better torque curve

I think you can go pretty big on the Darts w/out flycutting. IIRC they have more PTV clearance than stock heads and should fit a TRex of MS3 sized cam (someone PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong). With the 225s I would go with a big cam but that's just me. You'll see more power up top with the 225s so you might as well get a cam that makes its power up there as well. Just get a BIG stall

If you don't want to go huge and are just cruising with this car I agreee with most in this thread that your cam is fine. You can always go bigger if you're unsatisfied

Just had my 205's tested with plasticine and my crane 220/224 (282/286) 0.583 with 1.8's only left 0.020 clearance! So its back to stock 1.7's for the install for me.

Wow, that just doesn't seem right since a lot of guys are running the F13 with these heads.

I was surprised myself. Though the 0.006 numbers are close to a lot of larger cams.

Did someone redo the valve job? The 225's come from Dart with 2.05" intakes, who's valves are being used?
