hi,i was advised by my mechanic that my rack and pinion is shot and is the reason my car goes where it likes too.I was told that look for a a f41 production code in my glove box but i bought the car used and there are no stickers in there.Basically i need to know if my 98 SS has firm ride or not so i can fix this thing tommorow.Oh yeah i need to get realigned too.

Might try looking on the drivers door for the RPO codes, FWIW it sounds like he's thinking of a 3rd gen
AFAIK 4th gens did not come with F41 as a suspension option (the 3rd gens did)

Hey,guys come to find out it has firm ride as i put the first power stearingrack in it wasnt firm ride,then i noticed the shaft angle was off.It was about 23deg. wgere the firm ride is a 45 deg. So dont be dumb like me and just throw it in check the racks next to each other first.LOL
