Not sure about what you're asking, but I'm sure that all the "real" drag guys would delete the emergency brake for weight savings. I plan to do so myself once the car is no longer a daily driver, and is merely a garage queen/weekend warrior.

For now though, I'm leaving it in... "Just in case"

I heard removing the e-brake will save you up to 5 tenths in the 1/4.

I don't understand why someone has to make a smart-*** comment to someone asking a simple question. If you don't like weight reduction, don't do it. Fact is, it ALWAYS works. Don't mock someone for doing what they want to do with THEIR car. 'Nuff said.

We are running a 9" shortened 2 inches each side. I went to a lot of trouble to relocate the E brake brackets for the cables in the rear Just In Case.

No, but removing small stuff like the e-brake, horn, floor mats, carpet backing, owner's manual, washer fluid & bottle, ABS, cruise control, traction control, etc all add up smartass.

I removed mine when I swapped rear ends and have never had a problem or a time where I needed it.

Mine was stolen by the weight reduction fairy. With some types of brakes, it's pointless to keep the lever in the car since you can't use the e-brake.

Mine might as well be out... It has not worked for a wile. Everytime I re-adjust it, it works for a week or so, and then not so much...

the only reason i might keep mine is that once i get done with all this drag racing bs, i might throw a t56 back in it in a few years....might need the ebrake then..... hmmm

E brake delete here.

I don't know that I ever even used it when my car was street.
