Default So is a lid a lid, or what??

I see all these different lids around. Are they all pretty much the same or what? I like the MTI clear lid, but is there any other lid that will do better?

They are basicly all the same except for price.... I think SLP is the cheapest...

While on the subject..... I have the SLP Lid, K&N filter, smooth bellows........
I kind of like the K&N FIPK better....
Anyone have any experence with this product?

i recall seeing someone do a flow test on the lids that measured cfm's and the direct-flo flowed better if im not mistaken. maybe it will come up in a search.

I went direct-flo (LS1 Motorsports). After readin' 1.2 million posts it seams that it has good construction. It also only has a sticker on the lid that can be replaced with the factory ram-air sticker if you care. Not sure thats true with all of them.

I went with a Whisper lid. I've had it for over three years now on two different LS1 cars that I've owned. Excellent quality, IMO. Direct Flow would be my next choice.

There all about the same. However, I like the finish better on my SLP lid than the direct flo. The raised letters(SLP) are kind of cool. To each their own.

I have a Whisper Lid. I have had it from about when they first came out 3-4 years. It was on 98 Formula and now on my 2002 Trans Am. It is a good lid and with good gains.
