High Idle
My '02 T/A, M6, has recently started idling high only after the car has been running for about 30 minutes. It's fine when it starts, and it runs great up until the point where it starts idling at 1,000rpm. It eventually creeps up to 1,200 or so. When it's turned off and restarted after an hour or so it's fine again, except that the problem will show up much sooner; maybe after 10 minutes of run time.
Since it always cold starts fine, I disconnected the IAC after starting it when it was idling normal. It ended up doing the same thing only not as bad, the idle would get to 900. I guess that eliminates the IAC as the problem. What else controls the idle? Could the TPS involved? The problem always follows the same sequence.
Any ideas or suggestions?
