Hot Rod Power Tour/ Pump Gas Drags/ Drag Week - Fastest LSx at PGD?????

I gather there were 4-5 LSx powered cars in the PGD, what was the fastest time for them, 9.63?

Hinson's RX7 went at least 9.15. The other LSx powered vehicles were:
Kurt Urban's Nova
ATVRacer's Firebird
badass_2002_z28's Z28

They all went in the 9.6-9.7 range.

I think Kurt's best in the 3700+ pound Nova was 9.68

Did Hinson go a 9.15? I heard he had pcm issues. I believe ATV went 9.63@138mph.

I heard the RX7 went 8.84 in quaifing @135 and it went 128 in the 1/8 :drive:

He ran a 9.15 against me in the 1st round but slept BAD at the tree :emb:

My car went 9.62@142mph at the event then went 9.54@143mph the following morning without changing a thing.

I haven't scaled mine in a while..but I can tell you it's definately not light :(

Yeah, the RX-7 has ran a good amount of 8.80's, but never seems to get a good run in... Practicing he ran a 8.82 on low boost at 152... Then when he turned it up it seemed to have problems except that 8.84 at 135 pass. 128 in the 1/8th. :hail: But of course he left off in that run because of something.

Nice, and I'm guessing the RX7 hybrid was 3000-3200 raceweight? Man, you guys all ran some great times for pump gas!

The Nova was 3650 with me in it, but when we weighed it the intercooler tank was empty (10 gallon tank). Best et was 9.68@146.91

Not really. The talk of the event was the Honky Tonk Man and Kurt's "$20 car with a $10,000 setup" as I referred to it once. :D

When the ChevyII ran 8.48 on a 8.50 chassis certification, they asked him to kindly slow it down!! All the cars were fun to look at, but my personal favorite was the Olds with the 440 Mopar engine. It was just so different I liked it!
