Default M6 guys with stock 10 bolt and DRs, come inside

I'm wondering what 60 foots you guys are pulling?

I've personally seen a stock 10 bolt go 1.7 on slicks behind a 500hp motor with a T-5. I'm hoping I can hit a 1.8 on mine.

I realize the weak link is the 7.5" ring gear, but would buying any aftermarket pieces (cover, new axles, etc.) help shore up the 10 bolt any against a few passes on DRs?

I'm working on my 4th 10 bolt with an A4! With the money I have in rears I could have EASILY bought a 9" or 12 bolt. I have a Thunder Racing girdle and had my first set of gears (3.73's) installed profesionally. Point of the story is.....it won't last long and gets expensive FAST! My best 60' is 1.71 with completly stock suspenion.

I hear preloading the rear with the e-brake helps a LOT on reduceing the stress.
