Default Tick, tick, ticky-tick of my lifters...

Got the SLP LT's installed, off-roads (for now), custom 3" Y-pipe in too. Been drivin the **** outta her cuz I love the power and the sound they make!! BUT: sitting still, engine idleing, I can hear what sounds like my lifters ticking away! Never heard it with the stock exhaust system. Am I headed for a valve adjustment? Or, is this normal for tuned LT's? Your opinions please...

Probably your check valves flapping from too much air flow. Here is a cheap mod to fix it which involves adding restrictor plates to the air tube connection:

Am I headed for a valve adjustment?

Sorry, you have a non-adjustable valvetrain.

I have the same setup and I have the same noises!
It was really driving me crazy but I have tried
a number of things to fix this problem
and have not had any success.
A lot has been posted on this subject so you may be able to find some info by doing a search.
I still think it is an exhast leak but untill
I remove the header and put the vehicle back to
stock I don't think I will be able to know 100%
for sure that this is the problem. Good luck,
you frustration level will decrease as time passes
Dave

One more thing, if you haven't done the AIR pipe
mod that is noted above do it! I had a noise on accel from about 1800-3200 rpm that wentr away after I put the restrictor plates in.
