Default comments - suggestions WANTED! on installing MACs

hi fella's
I just wanna go over my findings (via searches, lots of them), and show my findings. Please tell me if anything i write is wrong, or suggest what you think i should do instead.
Culprit - 98 M6, 55k miles, bone stock (cept K&N <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> )
About to install - MAC mid-lengths w/ORP

I need to modify the ball collectors, otherwise i will lose a few ponies and will have a nasty raspy effect
AIR - restrictor plate suggested, or AIR completely removed via LS1edit/tuner
should richen up, tune properly or lean it up a bit
Unplugged rear O2's (no cats) - car should run fine, just the damned SES light is on, would run the same with O2simms
Plugs - car has 55k miles, probably original plugs, go ahead and change with TR55's; easier during header install
Catback - its ok to run a while on stock Z28 exhaust, but recommended to go ahead and install aftermarket piece or cutout (saves on labor)

Here is one i would really like an opinion on.
!MAFscreen - some (rarily, very doubtful as correct) people say descreening the MAF could lean it up, the majority say BS!, just wondering if descreening the MAF would help any when it comes to the motor getting rich from the headers, or porting the MAF-?

well, i guess thats all i can think of right now, i will be getting LS1edit sometime this year, when i get a cheapo laptop, but i will probably find someone local to help me out temporarily

dont be afraid to comment, any suggestions or comments can and will help, and are appreciated
i type to much <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" />

thanks,
-jason

you pretty much hit the nail on the head. if you're gonna do the ball flange mod, you might as well do the y-collector mod too. MTI sells 'em, as do other folks. if you don't mind me saying, i saw that all you have at this point is a high flow filter. if you don't have a lid, that would be a pretty good investment. more air in, more air out.
